The search for the suspects who shot and killed a 46-year-old man from Rooihuiskraal in Centurion is intensifying as police now believe they might have made a breakthrough.

Police have released frame grabs from CCTV in front of the house.

The footage shows the couple from the moment they drive in, to the point where they get attacked.

During the attack, Wouter de Bruyne was killed in front of his wife and the suspects drove off in his car.

Police spokeswoman, Captain Agnes Huma, said the couple were about to enter their garage when the wife saw papers in front of it. She got out of the car to pick them up.

“While she was picking up the papers, she saw an unknown man entering the yard and ordering her to lie down,” said Huma.

The other suspect demanded the keys from her husband to the vehicle, an Audi A4 with registration SDL 645 GP.

“She heard a gunshot and the car was driven out of the garage. When she checked, she saw her husband had been shot in the upper body. He died on the scene,” said Huma.

She appealed to the public who can identify the men in the pictures to call the investigating officer, Constable Leon Meyer at 076 373 2733 or their nearest police station.

Police were hoping that the release of the frame grabs would jog people’s memories of the day and help them remember if they saw someone dressed like the suspects.
