Moegamat Armien Salie, who had worked on Anzunette du Plessis's roof, admitted to stabbing her several times and slitting her throat on Thursday.

Salie, 31, Warren van Rooyen, 28, and Dudley Boesak, 32, appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate's Court on Monday, where details of the killing emerged.

He apparently asked her to open the gate so he could inspect his work on her roof. He allegedly gained access to the house through the roof. Du Plessis hit him before he overpowered her.

The three were arrested when police driving on Racecourse Road in Lansdowne on Thursday afternoon spotted three men pushing a trolley, with a TV and three laptops inside.

According to the report, prosecutor Charlean Olivier-Manuel said the items and their clothing had blood spatters. The men would be back in court on Monday. A fourth person was still on the run.
